They call me the James Bond of private tutors. I have never confirmed or denied it.
What I can tell you is that I have spent 18 years getting students unstuck. I am considered one of the best in the world at connecting with teenagers, lighting up their curiosity, and turning that into higher scores and real personal growth. It started at St. Paul's School in London, where I was a Colet Fellow teaching Science and Drama, and continued at Saint Ann's in Brooklyn, where I taught Science, Psychology, and Theater. Later came Kaplan, Manhattan GMAT (my boss was Andrew Yang), and Latitude Tutors, the company I founded in 2012 and sold six years later.

I hold a PhD in Cognitive Science in Education and degrees from Duke, Georgetown, and Columbia, and I specialize in creative problem solving. The reputation for efficiency is the reason I keep getting flown all over the world to teach.

Outside of tutoring, I run the Humans Teach Foundation for AI literacy and The Backyard Comedy Series, a community project that fights loneliness with live comedy. I am a Meisner trained actor, improviser, and clown, which helps more with teaching than you would think, and I once appeared in a movie with Ethan Hawke (technically his son's 8th-grade student film). These days I make videos for 110,000 subscribers on Scalar Learning, lead a global Skool community (J.E.D.I. Training for the SAT, 563 members), and run the Tutor Dojo for serious career tutors.
